Olympics Turn London Into ‘Ghost Town’


Businesses in London have said the 2012 London Olympic Games have left the British capital a “ghost town”, with the city’s tourist industry struggling to compete.

Many traditional tourist attractions like the London Eye or Madam Tussauds have seen a drop in ticket sales as visitors have diverted their attention to Olympic venues across England’s capital. Sri Balay, online sales manager at Leicester Square Box Office, said: "Theatre in general is pretty quiet.
