Hubble takes closer look at Jupiter's asteroid impact scar


Hubble space telescope images released Thursday offer a closer look at the asteroid impact hitting Jupiter last year.

Led by astronomer Heidi Hammel of the Space Science Institute in Boulder, Colo., the new analysis appears in the current edition of The Astrophysical Journal Letters.
