Shooting of Italian nuclear power firm boss sparks fears of domestic terrorism over the country's austerity measures

An Italian nuclear power firm boss has been shot outside his home sparking fears of a remergence of the political anarchy that blighted the country in the 1970s and 1980s.

Chief executive of Ansaldo Nucleare Roberto Adinolfi, 53, was shot in the leg by two men on a black Yamaha motorbike in Genoa, northern Italy, today.

The gunmen, both wearing helmets, fired off three shots fracturing Adinolfi's right knee before fleeing the scene.
Adinolfi is reported to not be in a serious condition but it has already been suggested that the attack may have been by a politically-motivated group .... http://www.dailymail.co.uk
