1,000 UK Troops Face War Crimes Charges
Up to 1,000 British soldiers face an investigation into war crimes allegedly committed during the US-led invasion of Iraq in 2003 and the following occupation of the country. The charges are mostly based on testimony given by detainees in Iraq and are related to the abuse and torture of detainees, reported Antiwar.com.
The report comes as Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Desmond Tutu has called for former British Prime Minister Tony Blair and former US President George W. Bush to be tried at the International Criminal Court for war crimes they committed in the invasion of Iraq .... http://www.presstv.ir
