UK travellers bound for New York and Boston were facing travel disruption today as a snowstorm was poised to hit America's north-eastern region.
Up to three feet of snow was expected to be dumped on the area while up to 14 inches was set to fall on New York City.
To the south, Philadelphia was looking at a possible two to five inches. Suffolk County in New York was under a blizzard watch, as were parts of Massachusetts, Connecticut and Rhode Island.
Virgin Atlantic cancelled its flight to and from Boston today and also axed some services to and from the Big Apple's JFK and Newark airports today and tomorrow .... http://www.dailymail.co.uk
