President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz has reiterated that Britain has no chance of curbing basic European Union (EU) immigration rules as they are not open to negotiations.
Schulz said the rules on freedom of movement are completely nonnegotiable.
The senior EU official said free movement is currently happening not only in Britain but across many other EU member states, and that the principle behind it has been one of the greatest successes across the 28-nation-bloc.
“It is a fundamental principle and it’s not up for negotiation any more than renegotiating the principle of the free movement of goods, services or capital,” he added .... http://www.davidicke.com
