Sanders polled at 41 percent to Clinton's 40 percent, according to a Quinnipiac poll released Thursday. While this remains within the margin of error, it marks the first time Sanders has bypassed Clinton among likely Democratic voters in Iowa.
In July Quinnipiac found Clinton leading Sanders by 19 points.
