Find a second job, Medvedev tells teachers

Russia’s poverty-stricken teachers and university lecturers have been advised by the prime minister to moonlight to supplement their incomes or leave the education system altogether.

“Every person chooses what is important for them in life,” Dmitry Medvedev told an education forum in the southeastern province of Dagestan. “I’m absolutely certain that modern, energetic lecturers are able to earn not only their salaries, but also . . . somehow earn something else.” .... http://www.thetimes.co.uk
