Scientists to explore buried Antarctica lake

British scientists are embarking on a groundbreaking mission to look for signs of life deep beneath the ice of Antarctica.

The British Antarctic Survey will use a hot-water drill to bore down to a lake buried beneath 3km of solid ice in West Antarctica.
