Former French Telecom CEO Investigated over Company Suicides


The former head of France Telecom chief executive, Didier Lombard, has been placed under formal investigation over his alleged role in a wave of staff suicides resulting from psychological harassment of the firm’s employees.

According to the country’s labor unions, more than 30 employees of France Telecom committed suicide between 2008 and 2009 under Lombard’s presidency, many of whom left notes blaming pressure from management or work stress.
