Judge OKs Olympic Rooftop Missiles


Residents of a 17-storey residential block of flats in London have lost their High Court battle to stop surface-to-air missiles being deployed on the roof of their house after a judge at London’s High Court ruled they did not have an arguable case.

Britain’s Ministry of Defence is to deploy surface-to-air missiles on the roof of the Fred Wigg Tower in Leytonstone, east London, within days after Judge Charles Haddon-Cave said the missiles were a necessary part of security for the 2012 London Olympics. Likewise, British officials have argued that the missiles, capable of shooting down an aircraft, form a key part of Olympic security in London .... http://www.presstv.ir
