EU Wants to Put a Carbon Tax on All European Flights

The European Commission wants to impose a carbon tax for all flights using Europe’s airspace. In order to gain access to airspace in Europe, airlines will now be forced to buy “pollution rights” from the government.

Wednesday’s proposal by the 28-nation bloc’s executive arm would force airlines to buy carbon emission permits for all flights within Europe but also for the parts of intercontinental flights that use the bloc’s airspace, the Associated Press reported .... http://intellihub.com
