Former South African president Thabo Mbeki has attacked Tony Blair’s ‘interventionist’ foreign policy and hinted strongly that Mr Blair pushed him to invade Zimbabwe.
Mr Mbeki said it would be wrong for ‘people from London’ to topple Robert Mugabe – whose 33-year reign over Zimbabwe has included land clearances and a crackdown on political opponents.
Mr Mbeki told Al Jazeera: ‘Tony Blair was saying to the chief of the British armed forces, “we must work out a military plan so that we can physically remove Robert Mugabe” .... http://www.dailymail.co.uk
