The libertarian politician says the US has no national security interests in Ukraine, and intervention there would be analogous to Russian interference in the affairs of Puerto Rico.
Although the country has an obligation to protect its citizens, Ukraine does not pose any threats and Americans should be wary of politicians beating their chests and arguing for intervention.
