NY politician claims he was too drunk to recognize bribe
Receiving a briefcase containing $20,000 in cash while in the back of an SUV is what New York politician Vincent Tabone considers a normal way to close a business deal. The Queens politician was caught in an FBI sting Thursday, supposedly after accepting a bribe to help a political hopeful get a nomination. Tabone's defense against the allegation is that he was too drunk to think clearly when he accepted the money and thought he was being hired as a consultant.
