Venezuela to charge opposition leader in Maduro ‘assassination plot’

The Venezuelan government is set to indict opposition leader Maria Corina Machado over what it calls her involvement in a plot to assassinate President Nicolas Maduro.

The office of Venezuela’s state prosecutor said on Wednesday that Machado should appear in court on December 3 for being linked to a plot to assassinate Maduro and set the stage for a coup.
