Mr Thomas, a former BBC presenter, said he had saved up 'for the trip of a lifetime' to afford the seat, which usually would involve luxury like the image on the right. It is understood the journalist used air miles to pay for part of his ticket. Filth Class! Horrified TV news presenter films 'disgusting' grimy conditions on board first class British Airways flight to St Lucia
TV presenter Owen Thomas (insetwas travelling to the Caribbean island of St Lucia from Gatwick when he noticed the grime beneath his £9,000 seat on a British Airways plane, left and centre. Keen to share his disgust, the presenter made a short video of the conditions on board its BA2159.
