New Study: Nations 100 Times More Likely to Go to War in Oil-Rich Countries


New research from the Universities of Essex and Portsmouth has confirmed what many already know: governments are more likely to intervene in foreign conflicts when oil is involved.

The study, "Oil Above Water: Economic Interdependence and Third Party Intervention" was published in the Journal of Conflict Resolution and studied 69 instances of civil war since World War II where a third party government intervened. It found .... http://www.activistpost.com
