An Arctic blast is set to bring sleet, snow and hail to parts of the town over the next couple of days.
And the run-up to the Easter holidays does not look much brighter, with wet and windy weather in between spells of sunshine.
But Huddersfield weatherman Paul Stevens insists: “It’s not unusual”.
The Salendine Nook forecaster said that it was possible to have sleet or hail right up to the start of June.
Mr Stevens said: “We have a lot of cold air from the Arctic over us at the moment and that is keeping temperatures well down for much of the time.
“People may get up to a lovely sunny morning and in the sun it is warm, but there is the chance of a band of showers on both Wednesday and Thursday which could well be wintry in places .... http://www.examiner.co.uk
