Scientists find way to ‘grow’ bones and organs in lab: Major breakthrough after researchers overcome obstacle of supplying structures with oxygen

British scientists have made a major breakthrough in the quest to replace knees and hips with lab-grown replacements.

The aim is eventually scientists will be able to replace complex structures – like those found in hips and knee joints damaged by arthritis, in car crashes or on battlefields.
