France worried over inspections in Auchan stores in Russia

France has expressed concerns about the latest food safety inspection of French-owned Auchan hypermarkets in Russia. Russia’s hygiene watchdog Rosselkhoznadzor has confirmed receiving the letter from the French Embassy.

The agency says the check is necessary because of the store’s previous food safety violations and failure to comply with Russia’s campaign against banned foods.
