Thanksgiving on ice? Hundreds of flights are cancelled as winter storm blankets the Midwest with a foot of snow ahead of the Holidays

Hundreds of flights have been cancelled after the first significant winter storm of the season blanketed parts of the Midwest with a foot of snow, creating hazardous conditions as some planned to travel ahead of Thanksgiving.

More snow is on the way on Saturday and while winter has not officially begun, the shovels and snowblowers were out from South Dakota and southern Minnesota, to Iowa, Wisconsin and northern Illinois .... http://www.dailymail.co.uk
