Israeli minister quits after 11 women claim harassment

Israel’s interior minister has resigned after 11 women lodged sexual harassment complaints against him, the second such scandal in a month for Binyamin Netanyahu’s rightwing government.

Silvan Shalom announced his retirement in a brief statement. “For 23 years, I have devotedly and faithfully served the public,” he said. “I am weary of the trials being faced by me, my family, my wife and children.” .... http://www.thetimes.co.uk
