US hang Russian flag upside down at Lavrov-Kerry meeting (Video)

US State Department officials were left red-faced prior to a meeting between Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and US Secretary of State John Kerry in Zurich, Wednesday, after being drawn to the fact they had hung the Russian flag upside down in the conference room.

Journalists were allowed into the room, set up the US State Department, to take additional shots ahead of Lavrov's meeting with Kerry on the ongoing conflicts in Syria and Ukraine. As Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Public Affairs Glen Johnson led the journalists out before the diplomats arrived, a Russian cameraman alerted the official to the gaff.

Looking at the upside down flag in apparent disbelief, Johnson replied, "What, are you serious? You're not bullshitting me right?" He then added "So the white should be on top?" The flag was luckily corrected before Lavrov's arrival .... https://www.youtube.com
