Poroshenko Signs Law on the Status of NATO's Office in Ukraine

President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, has signed a law that sets the status of the representative office of NATO in Ukraine. It will be responsible for the development of cooperation between official Kiev and the Alliance.

The agreement between the government of Ukraine and NATO on the status of the NATO mission in the country was signed on September 22nd 2015 during the visit of the Secretary General of the organization Jens Stoltenberg. Structurally, the new office will consist of the NATO liaison Office and the Center for information and documentation of NATO.
