London (AFP) - British Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn refused to resign on Tuesday despite a confidence vote in which 172 of his party's lawmakers voted against him and only 40 in his favour following Britain's EU referendum.
"I was democratically elected leader of our party for a new kind of politics by 60% of Labour members and supporters, and I will not betray them by resigning. Today's vote by MPs has no constitutional legitimacy," Corbyn said in a statement .... https://www.yahoo.com
