Helium balloon will take space tourists into the atmosphere

The 'bloon' can climb to a height of 36km, offering wannabe-astronauts the chance to glimpse the sun dawning on the earth.

It's described as a 'near-spaceship' and each trip will cost 90,000 pounds per person, with the journey lasting about five hours.

Included in that time is a three hour cruise at an altitude where the blackness of space can be seen above and the curvature of the earth below.

A cabin with room for four passengers and two pilots is attached to a huge, 129 metre diameter balloon.

It is pressurised and comfortable enough for people to wear their own clothes.

Passengers will spend a few hours cruising silently above the earth before beginning their descent .... http://www.telegraph.co.uk
