A concert by the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra was taken off air on Thursday night when demonstrators sympathetic to the Palestinian cause staged a protest in the Royal Albert Hall. The Proms performance was being broadcast on BBC Radio 3 when it was brought to a halt by a chorus of boos.
