Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov said for his part that so far there’s been no evidence that meteorite fragments have been discovered in the area of the blast.
The fall of the meteorite has affected residents of the Tyumen, Kurgan, and Sverdlovsk Regions, and also the northern area of Kazakhstan.
The worst-damaged was the Chelyabinsk Region. According to the latest reports, 1,200 people have been injured in the disaster.
