Snow causes travel chaos across the UK with roads blocked, a car breaking down every TWO SECONDS and runways closed - and there's plenty more still to come

A red Ford Focus smashed into the front of a house in Sheffield today on icy roads as drivers were told to expect delays after the AA and RAC warned of one breakdown every two seconds. 

Hundreds of passengers at Leeds Bradford airport were facing delays and cancellations this morning after snow forced the airport to close, while snow was also reported at Stansted.
