Ankara mayor to US spokesperson: Come on blondie, answer

Ankara Mayor Melih Gökçek, in a direct address to US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Marie Harf to speak up about the police's treatment of protesters in riots in Baltimore, has said, "Come on blondie, answer now.”

Gökçek said on his Twitter account "Hadi sarışın cevap versene” [Come on blondie, answer now] in reference to a news report that appeared on pro-government news website Ensonhaber.com about the police response to protesters in Baltimore.

He shared a photo showing police beating a protester in the same tweet as well as an image of Harf. A caption for the photo reads, "Where are you, stupid blond, who said the Turkish police are using disproportionate force?” .... http://www.todayszaman.com
