NASA's Cassini spacecraft has sent its first views of Saturn’s atmosphere taken during its latest mission to the planet, including what NASA described as an “intriguing” look at the planet’s hexagon-shaped jet stream.
The images, captured on December 2 and 3, were taken from high above the planet’s north pole, just days before its first dive past one of Saturn’s outer rings .... https://www.rt.com

Mystery "graffiti" on Saturn moon has experts stumped
It's as if someone took a red marker to Saturn's icy moon Tethys.
In new images from NASA's Cassini spacecraft, red arcs are clearly visible on the moon's surface, and are among the most unusual color features on Saturn's moons to be revealed by Cassini's cameras.
The images, obtained in April, are the first to show large northern areas of Tethys with such clarity. It also has helped that the Saturn system moved into its northern hemisphere summer over the past few years, meaning northern latitudes have become increasingly well illuminated .... http://www.cbsnews.com

Small thunderstorms may add up to massive cyclones on Saturn
For the last decade, astronomers have observed curious “hotspots” on Saturn’s poles. In 2008, NASA’s Cassini spacecraft beamed back close-up images of these hotspots, revealing them to be immense cyclones, each as wide as the Earth. Scientists estimate that Saturn’s cyclones may whip up 300 mph winds, and likely have been churning for years.
While cyclones on Earth are fueled by the heat and moisture of the oceans, no such bodies of water exist on Saturn. What, then, could be causing such powerful, long-lasting storms?
In a paper published today in the journal Nature Geoscience, atmospheric scientists at MIT propose a possible mechanism for Saturn’s polar cyclones: Over time, small, short-lived thunderstorms across the planet may build up angular momentum, or spin, within the atmosphere — ultimately stirring up a massive and long-lasting vortex at the poles .... http://newsoffice.mit.edu

Ocean On Saturn's Moon Enceladus May Have Potential Energy Source to Support Life
Saturn's icy moon Enceladus is looking better and better as a potential abode for alien life.
Chemical reactions that free up energy that could potentially support a biosphere have occurred — and perhaps still are occurring — deep within Enceladus' salty subsurface ocean, a new study suggests.
This determination comes less than two months after a different research team announced that active hydrothermal vents likely exist on Enceladus' seafloor, suggesting that conditions there could be similar to those that gave rise to some of the first lifeforms on Earth.
Astrobiologists regard the 314-mile-wide (505 kilometers) Enceladus as one of the solar system's best bets to host life beyond Earth .... https://www.youtube.com

A clear view of Titan: Nasa 'despeckles' Saturn's largest moon to reveal hidden river channels, shorelines and windswept dunes
Black & White Of Course!
Its radar has revealed half of the giant moon's surface, highlighting desert-like expanses of sand dunes and vast hydrocarbon seas.
Now, using a new technique for cleaning up Cassini's radar images, these views have taken been transformed into high-definition images of its stunning features .... http://www.dailymail.co.uk

(Video) Monster Energy Drinks Promote Satan, Viral Video Claims
So what's really behind the popularity of Monster Energy drinks? Could it be... Satan?
One woman seems to think so.
In a video that went viral on Facebook and YouTube over the weekend, the unidentified woman recites a series of conspiracy theories about the drink. Specifically, the notion that the "M" in the "Monster" logo is really made up of a Hebrew "6," repeated three times.
Yes, that would be "666.". She also points to the "Unleash the Beast" motto on each can as well as the company's supposed used of implied profanity in its marketing.
Still have doubts? She has more clues, such as claiming the line through the "o" in "Monster" is really part of a cross, which represents the Antichrist .... http://www.huffingtonpost.com

Cassini Sees Sunny Seas on Titan
As it soared past Saturn's large moon Titan recently, NASA's Cassini spacecraft caught a glimpse of bright sunlight reflecting off hydrocarbon seas.
In the past, Cassini had captured, separately, views of the polar seas and the sun glinting off them, but this is the first time both have been seen together in the same view .... http://www.nasa.gov

A small icy object within the rings of Saturn may be a new moon
Black & White Images
NASA's Cassini spacecraft has documented the formation of a small icy object within the rings of Saturn that may be a new moon, and may also provide clues to the formation of the planet's known moons.
Images taken with Cassini's narrow angle camera on April 15, 2013, show disturbances at the very edge of Saturn's A ring -- the outermost of the planet's large, bright rings. One of these disturbances is an arc about 20 percent brighter than its surroundings, 750 miles (1,200 kilometers) long and 6 miles (10 kilometers) wide .... http://saturn.jpl.nasa.gov

Cassini Spies Wind-Rippled Waves on Titan
New observations from NASA’s Saturn-orbiting Cassini spacecraft show what appear to be glints of sunlight bouncing off a wind-rippled lake on the moon Titan.
"If correct, this discovery represents the first sea-surface waves known outside of Earth," University of Idaho planetary scientist Jason Barnes wrote in an abstract of a paper presented at the Lunar and Planetary Science Conference in Houston this week .... http://www.space.com

Jimmy Savile was part of satanic ring
He also chanted “Hail Satan” in Latin as other paedophile devil worshippers joined in and assaulted the girl at Stoke Mandeville Hospital in Buckinghamshire. The attack, which happened in 1975, shines a sinister new light on the former DJ’s 54-year reign of terror.
Savile, who died aged 84 in October 2011, is now Britain’s worst sex offender after police revealed he preyed on at least 450 victims aged eight to 47.
The girl kept her torment hidden for nearly 20 years before finally opening up to therapist Valerie Sinason .... http://www.express.co.uk

Atmospheric data shows that hundreds of tons of diamonds rain down on Saturn & Jupiter every year
New atmospheric data for the gas giants indicates that carbon is abundant in its dazzling crystal form, they say.
Lightning storms turn methane into soot (carbon) which as it falls hardens into chunks of graphite and then diamond.
These diamond "hail stones" eventually melt into a liquid sea in the planets' hot cores, they told a conference.
The biggest diamonds would likely be about a centimetre in diameter - "big enough to put on a ring, although of course they would be uncut," says Dr Kevin Baines, of the University of Wisconsin-Madison and Nasa's Jet Propulsion Laboratory .... http://www.bbc.co.uk
